Door de droomwereld van Ben en Johannes

Tijdens deze familierondleiding in het STUK ontdek je het werk van de Britse kunstenaar Ben Rivers. Vanuit een labyrint kijk je naar Minotaur (2022): een korte film over een kind dat verjaagd wordt naar de diepste kern van het doolhof. In Now, at Last! (2018) ontdekt je hoe traag de tijd gaat voor een luiaard. Een selectie foto's en tekeningen doet je nog dieper duiken in de denkwereld van Ben Rivers.

Nadien ga je verder op pad door het STUKgebouw op zoek naar de bewegende sculpturen van Johannes Langkamp. Met de speelse blik van een onderzoeker maakt de Duitse kunstenaar installaties die je de ruimte op een andere manier doen ervaren: van een bank waarop stilzitten niet nodig is tot een dansend gordijn.

During this guided tour for families, you discover the work of British artist Ben Rivers. Find your way through a labyrinth to discover his new film Minotaur; a short story about a child that is chased into the deepest core of the maze. In another movie, you experience how slow time goes for a sloth. Beautiful pen and watercolour drawings complete the exhibition.

After that, we make a short walk through the STUK building in search of the moving sculptures of Johannes Langkamp. With the playful gaze of a researcher, Johannes makes installations that change your experience of a space; from a bench that doesn’t need you to sit still to dancing curtains.
