WASCO!
an explosive actionpainting-performance
Wasco’ing on?
A group of children, a few boxes of crayons, a large supply of paint, and jazz – that’s WASCO!. Ten young per- formers between six and twelve years old build a world from scratch, far away from the one where adults live. They dance their own universe into being with crayons and paintbrushes. The result is a painting. After all, is dancing not drawing in space? If freedom had a shape, what would it look like?
WASCO! is an invitation to colour outside the lines. An explosive action painting performance. Unbridled, chaotic, wild and sometimes soft.
Want to try it yourself? You can make life-size drawings in the drawing corner in the STUKCafé.
